Now, I haven’t purchased Fallout 3 yet, but I sure as hell wasn’t going to buy the Survival Edition no matter what, but here’s a little snippet from a Ripten article:
Considering the assumed limited quantity, some people seem to have purchased it with the intent of reselling as there have already been listings of the Survival Edition at a jacked-up price, like $300. I, on the other hand, bought it because I was a fan and I wanted that Pip-Boy!
For an extra $50, I assumed the Pip-Boy was going to be awesome. It’s not. While it might be awesome for a cosplayer since it has a hinge and can be snapped onto your arm (not my arm, for I’m way too buff), its only option is to be battery powered — there is no way to plug it in.
So here you have a digital clock that looks like a Pip-Boy, and all it’s really good for is telling time. It sits on its poorly crafted ‘display stand’ (I broke a piece putting it together) and that’s it. It doesn’t even have an alarm. While you may be thinking “What did you expect?”, quite honestly I expected more than a cheap ‘replica’ of a Pip-Boy made out of toy-gun plastic if I was being charged $50 for it. How about some metal or high-quality resin.

This is just plain bullshit microsoft. With Micsrosoft’s new ‘Live Your Moment’ marketing campaign that their kicking off, their putting out all of their new commercials on your television.
Hmmmm…….sure, the Xbox 360 can download and play HD movies but the Xbox 360 displayed is priced at GBP 129.99, the Arcade version, which lacks a hard drive. It says nothing about the fact that the 360 doesn’t actually come with one, just that you need one. I think that this is definitely a cheap-shot, and their just trying to sell more consoles and beat out the PS3.

Man, I’m just getting kind of annoyed of all of these graphics comparisons. It really seems like a waste of time, unless your just trying to generate some popular news and get hits upon hits to your website. You can check out the video below, but what do you guys think? Are these worthwhile or not?

A portion from a Nintendo Everything article:
1. Game montages/trailers
Video montages/trailers of Wii and DS titles were pretty much absent from Nintendo’s E3 media briefing this year. It is unfortunate that the company largely ignored video content, as visual representation of games could have definitely complimented some of Nintendo’s scarce announcements by adding some actual substance to their media presentation.

Well, the first thing that I’m going to say is congratulations Sony! It looks like the Playstation 3 outsold the Xbox 360 in Q2 worldwide! Worldwide, the PS3 sold 2.43 million consoles throughout the period, according to Q2 FY 2008 figures (nearly double what they did last year). This now puts Sony ahead of Microsoft, who recently told AFP the 360 sold 2.2 million units during the same period. It looks like a good time for all of the people at Sony, and we can only hope that the PS3 keeps it up!

Oh, I love the retailers that do this. It looks like a couple of retailers have broken Resistance 2’s street date! A member at neogaf forums posted the images of the collector’s editor of Resistance 2 that contain various goodies besides the game disc. Click over at the link at the bottom to see the pictures!

I’ve honestly never even thought of this before, a free-roaming zombie game, and this is definitly a very good question. Why don’t developers make one? Well, VG Titlt goes into great detail as to why develepers are afraid to make such a game.

Well, I guess if you wanted to pre-order a PSP 3000 on Amazon, your out of luck because as of now they just stopped. A thread on the PlayStation US forum posts the following cancellation email from Amazon:

Interesting. It looks like the PS3 is rapidly becoming the bread-winner for many of the third party publishers. This is definitely hard to believe seeing as how it has less of an install base than the 360 and the Wii, but it sure is convincing for all of you PS3 owners, and Sony in general. Now it seems that Konami, Namco Bandi and Ubisoft have joined the ranks of EA where the PS3 console and is now bringing in more money than the Xbox 360.
