Gears of War 2 debuts to 2,100,000 Units Day 1

That’s just fucking ridiculous. Gears of War 2, now becoming one of the beiggest titles to date on the Xbox 360, is pushing 2,100,000 units……in 1 day. Gears of War 2 debuted from midnight and Friday sales of 1,400,000 units in North America, and 700,000 units in ‘Others’ territories. When you compare the two, this would be roughly 20% lower, to Halo 3’s massive debut, which wound up with 3.8 million units sold it’s first week on the market. Congratulations Gears!
