The world’s first Sackboy ever made is inside LittleBigPlanet

Interesting, a picture of the world’s first ever Sackboy that was actually made inside of LittleBigPlanet itself. It’s interesting to see where they’ve come, from the original prototype, to now, one of the best games out on the Playstation 3.

Gears of War 2 debuts to 2,100,000 Units Day 1

That’s just fucking ridiculous. Gears of War 2, now becoming one of the beiggest titles to date on the Xbox 360, is pushing 2,100,000 units……in 1 day. Gears of War 2 debuted from midnight and Friday sales of 1,400,000 units in North America, and 700,000 units in ‘Others’ territories. When you compare the two, this would be roughly 20% lower, to Halo 3’s massive debut, which wound up with 3.8 million units sold it’s first week on the market. Congratulations Gears!

Walmart breaking Animal Crossing: City Folk street date, disc comes with Wii system update

Well that sucks. Myt Walmart hasn’t done this yet. So yes, Walmart has broken the street date for Animal Crossing: City Folk on the Wii, and people are already getting their hands on it. First thing’s first, you will need to do a mandatory system update in order to play, but that’s probably not that big of a deal. I guess I’ll just have to get it tomorrow like all of the “other people”.

EGM says The Crystal Bearers cancelled for Wii!?

There’s….there’s no way. EGM notes that Square Enix is “quietly canceling” Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for Wii. I don’t think that this is going to happen, but if it does, it will be a huge loss for Wii owners and the Wii itself. The game was one of the first announced for the Wii, but it’s absence from this year’s TGS showing might be hinting something.  Square Enix plans on releasing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, which may be the company’s way of replacing The Crystal Bearers. I guess all we can do is hope…

Enraged Infinty Ward says World At War claims are “bullshit”

Community Manager Robert Bowling has posted a cute little rant on his blog about producer Noah Heller, saying his statements about the game are “bullshit” and he should stop talking about it. Just as the words star getting bad, they get even worse.

With his recent interview with CVG, he says:

“First of all, you didn’t work on “previous Call of Dutys”, so don’t talk as if you’re down with how / why things were designed the way they were. Second, you’re completely fucking wrong.”

Wow, that’s……kind of harsh you douche bag. It looks like those two had completely different ideas about the new Call of Duty game. I guess Heller and Bowling have very different ideas about how CoD’s rifles work.

Ha, that’s funny! The Top 5 Reasons The PS3 Will Win The Console War

Man, I always laugh when something like this comes out. I mean really, not like it couldn’t happen, but with PS3 sales like they are, and 360 and Wii sales like they are, I don’t think it’s going to happen soon ever. There are too many flaws and things that the PS3 doesn’t have that the Wii and 360 have. Granted, the console does have the nicest graphics (not shown in the actual games that come out for it), but obviously that doesn’t matter to the consumer.

Here their reasons, on why the PS3 will win:

#2) Blu-Ray Is Format Of Choice

The people have spoken, and the victor is… (ok you all know this). Blu-Ray won the format war, and I believe it still hasn’t completely sunk in with people yet. It is understandable though, that you would not just jump up and go spend $500 on a Blu-Ray player knowing there is a possibility that it could still lose the format war. Eventually though, when the smoke completely clears, the PS3 will begin to see the full effects of the format war. The PS3 should start to sell as good as any other console and will have the advantage of being a 2 for 1 deal; you could even just buy it for the Blu-Ray and still get a decent deal. Blu-Ray is a difference maker, just wait and see.

#1) Sony’s Massive Fan Base

While there is no evidence that Sony’s oh so loyal fan base is still well over a hundred million, you have to believe enough still remain that it will catch up with it (the PS3) and eventually put it over that hump. Maybe Sony understood that when they were releasing the console, and even with its very disappointing price tag it would eventually sell to those who follow Sony. Don’t get me wrong though, every system has its loyal following, but I think that Sony probably has the largest fan base of them all.

Here are the reasons why the PS3 WON’T win:

• People don’t care about graphics, they care about gameplay
• There are not enough exclusive games that come out on PS3
• Where’s the innovation besides the six-axis and the graphics?

Trust me, I could go on, and it’s not that I don’t like the PS3, it’s a great console, but there are too many reasons why the PS3 won’t win the console war as to why it would win.

I’m not a big StarCraft fan myself. I’ve played the first one for a while, and just didn’t like it, and could never get into it. Good news for all of you that are starcraft fans, we’ve got some detailed hardware recommendations, so you can feel bad that you don’t have a computer capable of actually playing the game.

CPU: Athlon X2 / Core 2 Duo or above

Memory: 2 GB of RAM or above

Graphics Card: Geforce 8600 GT or above

Oh No! Epic publishes list of known Gears of War 2 Errors

It looks like the developer Epic knows of the errors of Gears of War 2, and has published a list of them. Epic Community Manager SixOkay has published a list of known problems for Gears of War 2 on the official Epic forums, including acknowledgement for the slow matchmaking issues that many gamers have been experiencing.

Please help us out. If you see someone posting or asking about something on this list, direct them to this thread. Also, if your issue isn’t on this list, please add it in this thread. It’ll help everyone stay organized, and help us track things down MUCH faster.

Top 10 Ways to Know If You’re a “Hardcore Gamer”

This is interesting. Personally, I don’t differentiate between the different “types” of gamers, I just think if you game, your a gamer. Alas, Old Wizard has put up their top 10 ways to know if your a “Hardcore Gamer”. A couple of them don’t apply to me, and I actually think the list is a little flawed, but whatever. Here’s one out of their list:

10. You’re Fat

All those hours spent on your couch, at your computer, or generally sitting around, has packed on the pounds. And who has time for a proper diet there’s gaming to be done? The “hardcore gamer” generally only eats one or two food groups; sugars which are obtained from sodas, candy, cookies, and cakes, as well as carbs, mainly from hot pockets, pizzas, and other microwavable/deliverable food stuffs. All this, plus an utter lack of exercise tends to add to the physique of your average ‘hardcore gamer.’

But Americans are out of shape in general. Therefore this is not enough to identify a hardcore gamer from a herd of otherwise unhealthy American slobs. You must also consider…
