BlackBerry Storm’s Shipping Delay: Blame the Firmware

Delays are everywhere for the BlackBerry Storm’s shipping. Here’s some info from Gizmodo:

Orders of the BlackBerry Storm online have been delayed, and according to some detective work from the Boy Genius Report, it’s not due to intense demand. The Storm that BGR got to toy around with was loaded with the OS firmware 4.7.0.82, yet all the Storms being sold now are branded .65.

So there’s a problem with the .82 firmware it must be, but when will this all get fixed? If you want one of these pretty badly, then your going to have to wait more than likely.

GotGame Releases Integrated Web Browser For Games; Watch Hulu As You Get 1337

GotGame has now released their web browser Rogue. This web browser gives gamers something to do during times of boredom. Rogue is based on WebKit and Adobe’s AIR platform that integrates directly into most of today’s popular gamer, allowing users to swap between their game and the web with a single hotkey. Gamers will be able to check their Email, listen to Pandora, watch Hulu videos, or casually browse the web at their leisure, jumping back into the game within seconds whenever they need to. Well, this definitely sounds like the web browser built with gamers in mind. Check it out and see if you like it!

HUGE Sony Info Blowout

Wow! All of the Sony fans should be extremely happy about this! There has been a huge blowout of information about everything Sony. Here’s some of the information:

• Price cuts coming in March, PS3 performing better in Europe than 360
• Growth of PSN
• LittleBigPlanet & MotorStorm coming to PSP
• Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 & God of War 3 info

Square Enix: “one-console market is over”

Square Enix US boss John Yamamoto has declared the time of the platform exclusives is over.

“Not so long ago the PS2 dominated the market so if we developed an exclusive game for PS2 then we could enjoy a very good profit. But that time is already over,” Yamamoto told GamesIndustry.biz.

“To maximise and spread our games to as many users as possible I think we have to go to multiformat – the Xbox 360, PS3 and also the PC as well.

“The Japanese market is very strong and back when we could concentrate on developing games for just one console, business was very good. But the one-console market is over,” he said.

Their next project will be an action game that will go to PSN, XBLA, and WiiWare as well. I think it’s for the best that Square Enix do this, to not only maximize sales of each game that they make, but to also appeal to gamers that own a variety of consoles.

Amazon to offer $199 PS3, Blu-ray bundle Black Friday

Exciting new for those of you that want to finally buy a PS3, because you can get one bundled with a few extra goodies! Here’s what their offering:

Three bundle SKUs are available to vote for, including the $199 PS3 Blu-ray Sci-Fi Bundle, $229 PS3 Blu-ray Action Bundle, and the $100 PS3 Blu-ray Family Bundle.

Amazon in Nov. began offering two free Blu-ray disc titles with the purchase of an 80GB PS3 and any two Sony Blu-ray disc titles. Better get out there and get your PS3 bundle while you can!
