Grand Theft Auto DLC Revealed!
Oh, how great this week will be. The downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV has finally been revealed. This upcoming episode looks to be way wild!
This new episode, available Feb. 17 via download exclusively for those who own the Xbox 360 version (no price yet), stars Johnny Klebitz, a member of Liberty City biker gang The Lost.
“Johnny is a very different character than Niko, with a very different background,” says Dan Houser, vice president of creative development for Rockstar Games. “I can’t go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released. But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City.”

Netflix Speaks Out On Sony Movies Disappearing From Xbox 360 Service – It’s Not A Glitch
Well, we’ve got a response to the story I posted before about the movies from Sony on the Xbox 360 Netflix service. We’ve learned that it’s not a glitch. The restriction of Sony movies only apply to Xbox 360 users. PC, Mac and other Netflix-enabled on-demand devices can still stream Sony Pictures Entertainment films, and is not a glitch.
“In the case of Xbox 360, a few hundred titles are temporarily unavailable to be streamed via the Xbox game console,” Netflix VP of corporate communications Steve Swasey told MTV Multiplayer in an e-mailed statement tonight. “Those titles are still available to be watched on subscribers’ computers and on TVs via other partner devices, and we hope they’ll be licensed for Xbox 360 shortly.”
Swasey wouldn’t say, when he was asked if the license just coincidentally expired as Microsoft was adding Netflix support or Sony Pictures Entertainment specifically requested Xbox 360 streaming to be disabled.

New Xbox Experience brings RRoD
Many, the old is coming back in. With the new Xbox Experience update, people are starting experience….the RED RING OF DEATH! Not even 24 hours after the update was up, people were already posting complaints on blogs and message boards.
But wait, that’s not even the begginning. People are experiencing connection freezes, slow downs, lock ups, broken TV connections, and much more. I don’t think that this is what people were expecting to experience from this update.

NXE Netflix streaming loses Sony’s Columbia Pictures movies
If you’ve been checking out Netflix queues after the NXE launch, they probably got much shorter. Joystiq has reached out to Microsoft for an explanation, and I guess the best we can hope for is that it’s just a glitch, and that they will get if fixed up soon.

Redbox Goes Blu!
Redbox, the company that has rental kiosk which are found in various grocery stores and restaurants is now “officially” supporting Blu-ray.
The company’s pricing model is $1/24h, should we assume a similar pricing model for Blu-ray? Would you pay $2 for one day rental?

Playstation Gamers Will Be Disappointed: Christmas Advertisement Lacks Major Aspects
This is a problem that has been ongoing since the Playstation 3’s release. Sony is neglecting to advertise for their big games. This has been a problem with LittleBigPlanet, although they did put out more advertisments then they normally do, most people, including myself, don’t think it was enough. Now, everyone’s advertising for the Holiday season. Microsoft and Nintendo are doing their part, and even retailers such as GameStop are stepping it up a little bit, but what will Sony do? Well, as of now, we haven’t seen pretty much anything. We can only assume that their either going to kick it up a little bit, or keep it where it’s at now. What do you guys think Sony will do?

Wrath of the Lich King Already Beaten
I know, I know, it’s almost impossible to believe, but the Wrath of the Lich King has already been beaten. The guilds Nihilum and SK Gaming joined forces to be the first in the world to accomplish this ridiculous feat.
On their website, they made an interesting post:
“We are proud to declare that all [Wrath of the Lich King dungeons] have now been cleared,” reads the statement. “This is both a moment of triumph and a cause for concern. The question in all our minds right now is if we could do this, how soon until the rest of the top guilds in the world clear all the raid content that WOTLK has to offer? Did Blizzard miscalculate in the tuning of these encounters? Or is this Blizzard folding under the weight of a large casual player base that demands to be on equal footing with end-game raiders?”
So should this be a concern for Blizzard? If the top 2 clans in the world can beat the game in only 4 days, then middle class guilds should have no problem clearing it in 2 months. Then your lower-class guilds should have it conquered in at least 6 months. What do you guys think?
