Tutorial: Install Ubuntu on Your PS3 For That Good Old Gaming Fun

Now, I don’t own a PlayStation 3, but this kind of makes me want to. My desktop computer is running Ubuntu right now, and for me, it’s the best linux kernal out there. If you didn’t know, you can install linux on your PS3, and get all of that amazing old-school gaming goodness. Gizmodo has put together a tutorial that you can check out, so you can get Ubuntu up and running on your PS3 in no time at all.

The Motorola ZN300 Looks…Well, It’s a Motorola Phone I Guess….

Looks like the first unofficial picture of ZN300 slider, the upcoming Motorola phone, has just come out! The phone is said to have a QVGA display and 3 megapixel camera on the back. The phone does look interesting, but I don’t think it’s something that I would buy….yeah, definitely not something I would buy. I’m sure they’ll sell a couple though.

Wait…Sony’s Actually Advertising One of It’s Products!?

Yeah I know, it’s not April Fools Day, and I just said that Sony actually advertised one of it’s products. I’m obviously lying huh? Believe it or not I’m not, Sony actually did something that could boost the sales of one of their games, and what game is it you may be thinking? Kyocera consolidates handset businesses, cuts 360 jobs in the process

Only about a year after Kyocera bought out Sanyo’s cellphone business to create a mobile empire, the company is going to have to re-organize it’s mobile handset business. It looks like the US offices will be changing the most, which will now primarily be focused exclusively sales, support, and business development, leaving all the handset design to be done at its Kyocera Wireless and Sanyo Telecom units in Japan. This will supposably “enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the combined global handset business,” according to company President Rodney Lanthorne, but we’ll have to see what happens when it happens.

Dead Rising 2: It’s Multiplatform!!!

With the latest issue of Famitsu, Capcom made mention that that 2009 would be ‘the year of multiplatform’. This means, that in 2009, Capcom will be focusing mainly on multiplatform games for both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. This also includes the famous zombie beat em’ up game Dead Rising. Finally, the sequel has been confirmed Capcom’s head of research and development Keiji Inafune, and is suppose to be released sometime in 2009.

Rumor: New Final Fantasy Coming Exclusively to 360?

If you hadn’t known, Square Enix has had a count down running for the past week, if you did know about that, then you will be more than happy to know that this announcement has nothing to do with it! The announcement may be…..another Final Fantasy for Xbox Live Arcade!?

A mysterious link has found it’s way on the Microsoft Japanese site, and has the words “finalfantasy4″ in the URL. After further speculation, this may be Final Fantasy: The After for XBLA. Japanese gamers saw Final Fantasy IV: The After arrive on cellphones, but if you didn’t live there, you were shit out of luck. Could this be the game we’ve been waiting for? Let us all hope so.

LG Electronics recalls 45,000 LG 150 phones in Canada

Ooops! It looks like there was a massive screw-up in Canada for LG. LG Electronics has just issued a voluntary recall of around 45,000 LG 150 phones in Canada, but no announcement has been made as to why. Supposably, LG was “notified by one of the independent bodies responsible for the certification of mobile phones that the LG 150 mobile phone is no longer certified as meeting the Radio Standards Specifications 102 (RSS 102), Radio Frequency Exposure Compliance of Radiocommunication Apparatus”. Anyone reading this and yapping on their new LG 150 better stop, drop, and throw that piece of shit on the groud!
