Can Amazing Looks Make Up for Utter Lack of Personality in Killzone 2

Now, I haven’t played through the Killzone 2 single-player campaign yet, I find this story to pique my interest. It is normal when playing Killzone 2, to make comparisons to Gears of War 2, that is, if you have played the game. Although these are two completely different games, Killzone a first-perseon shooter, and Gears of War a third-person shooter. Both games have that kind of “gritty” quality that the games have. Is the one missing ingredient in Killzone 2 though…personality?

To be blut, the dialogue in Killzone 2 just plain sucks, and it makes Gears of War look like a novel fucking masterpiece. The dialogue in both games are pretty stupid, but at least Gears has that kind of “smart” to it…if you know what I mean. I don’t know. The game doesn’t really have even a shred of personality at that. The Gears franchise has their over-the-top chainsaw bayonnet, but what does Killzone 2 have….nothing!
