Epic Games is going to be at E3 this year, and they are inviting all of the people interested in coming. They will e showing off the newest Unreal Engine 3 features for PC, Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION3, as well as have demonstrations of the engine in closed door presentations for its prospective customers, evaluators, licensees, and members of its Integrated Partners Program. Also, if you are interested in licensing the engine, Epic Games staff will be on hand at the event to answer all of your questions and queries.

GDC was also a big time for announcements from Epic Games concerning their latest game engine. They announced a new global illumination solver was being implemented into the engine, which produces high-quality static lighting and effects. This implementation into Epic’s Engine will allow lighting to be generated up to 10 times faster than before. The new Unreal Content Browser enables designers to quickly locate game assets with thumbnail previews, tag content with metadata, and easily manage asset collections. A feature called the Unreal Master Control Program is also being implemented into the engine, which features scalable statistics and data management back end that supports announcements, settings management, online population tracking, and data collection for hardware, profile, and game stats.

So all in all, E3 is going to be huge for Epic Games and the Unreal Engine 3, and this engine is going to be extremely freaking bad-ass. Look forward to it!
