Medal of Honor series on its way back…in modern form?

During a conference call EA’s Frank Gibeau confirmed that Medal of Honor is on it’s way back. The company plans on rejuvenating the series like they have done recently with the Need for Speed series. Along with this confirmation he also says that other “core IPs” from EA will be undergoing a similar change.

Flip to a little while later and MCV claims a insider source has tipped them off on the setting for the next Medal of Honor game. The source says “it’s a new take on the modern warfare idea – and will really help give the series the kick up the arse it needs.” I really hope that it has a twist because the last thing we need is another modern FPS trying to scavenge up what little market share the Call of Duty series has left for modern shooters.
