Nintendo says their always thinking about more Metroid Prime, may happen on Nintendo DS

The Metroid Prime triology has ended but Nintendo isn’t finished with the series yet. Official Nintendo Magazine caught up with Nintendo’s Kensuke Tanabe and asked some questions relating to the Metroid Prime series.

We are always planning to make new games in the Metroid Prime series. Depending on the timing and the situation, we cannot deny the possibility of realising it on DS or DSi

While Metroid Prime Hunters wasn’t the best Metroid it was a pretty decent title overall. The question is, does the Metroid fan base want another FPS Metroid on the Nintendo DS?
