Lufia DS details

Quite a few details came from Famitsu’s translated scans and some from IGN. We rounded them up for you so you can have all the latest details on the title.

• A Remake of Lufia II (Which was a prequel to Lufia I)
• Square Enix says it is more then a remake
• the story, characters, world, and battle system has been reconstructed
• Scenario Based on Lufia II, but much has been rewritten
• Still holds elements to keep it within the Lufia franchise
• Battles take place on the top screen
• Bottom screen has a map and character portraits
• Can use bottom screen’s character portraits to switch out characters, even mid combo
• During boss fights both screens are used for gameplay with the main character on the bottom screen.
• Overworld map differs from the SNES version, number of towns have changed
• Remastered music from both Lufia I and II

Seems like its shaping up to be a nice addition even for those who have already played the Lufia games as well as a good starting point for new comers to the series. You can check out Famitsu’s scans below.
