Nintendo Estimates December Sales Figures

Nintendo makes game consoles, as well as games. But not only do they do that, they also sell a shit ton of both, and here we’ve got their estimates of what they believe sales were for the Wii, DS, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

ryuta kawashima brain age Nintendo Estimates December Sales FiguresSo what are they saying they sold? Well Nintendo is estimating that they sold around 3 million Wii units in December (Wii break more than a million? Ridiculous), and we don’t have a number for all of the DS skews, but they said it will more than likely break the calendar-year U.S. sales record. So yippy.

Then there’s the recently released New Super Mario bros. Wii that came out on Nov. 15, and they’re expecting the US lifetime sales to be close to 4 million units sold.

“The millions of people who bought Nintendo hardware during the holidays can look forward to enjoying great games on those systems now and in the future,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for Nintendo DS, and Wii Fit Plus and New Super Mario Bros. Wii are all currently providing Nintendo fans with amazing experiences and fun adventures for the whole family.”

So this isn’t really news as well all know that Nintendo moves consoles and software by the fucking ton, but congrats on the good holiday turnout guys.
