OnLive Comes to Tablets and Mobile Phones

OnLive

OnLive has just made the announcement that their video game service will be expanding to tablet and mobile phone devices. OnLive’s service, which allows players to choose from a library of games to play on select devices without buying the physical copy of the game, has been adapted and over 25 titles have been re-tooled for touch interfaces on the new devices. The OnLive app is currently available for Android and will soon be released for iOS devices. OnLive also realizes that some people may not want to play console games on a touch screen tablet or phone so they are also offering a wireless controller for more traditional gameplay. The wireless controller will retail for $50.

OnLive's library will not be available on tablet and phones.

OnLive has a game library of over 200 titles, and as stated before, 25 of those games have been re-tooled and optimized for a touch interface experience.  One of the biggest new titles that will be available over the OnLive app is L.A. Noire, RockStar Game’s detective thriller. As a promotional technique, any person that downloads the free app will we rewarded with Lego Batman: The Video Game.
