Those boys at UDON studios have done it again and will be sucking $26.57 out of my wallet this coming August with the release of the Disgaea art book. DISGAEArt!!! Disgaea Official Illustration Collection will contain 197 pages of concept to promotional art from the four Disgaea games
Disgaea’s art provided by the illustrator Takehito Harada is one of the most consistent and colorful of any game series out there . I may not have played any of the games but I can still recognise a Disgaea game from it’s art style and the appearance of the penguin demon Prinny. The Disgaea series began 2003 on the PS2 as a tactical role playing game with multiple spins offs and their own sequels including the devilishly tricky PSP exclusive platformer Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero.
Honestly if you enjoy anime and tactical RPGs I suggest you give any of the Disgaea games a shot but you’re like me and just love the art style then you can pre-order the artbook right now on Amazon.
