New Pokémon Black and White 2 Screenshots Feature Some Old Faces

corocoro5122

A ton of new screenshots for Pokémon Black and White 2 have been released and, although they’re kinda small, they do contain some interesting things. To start, the Pokémon sequels will have a new area for you to test your Poké-mettle called the Pokémon World Tournament. In this tournament, many tough and familiar trainers will show up to challenge you. Old school Gym Leaders like Blue (or Gary for you TV Show fans), Misty and Giovanni are just a few of the returning Gym Leaders. The tournament itself can be set as single or double battles and you even have the option to download even more trainers via Nintendo’s Wi-Fi service.

The screens also show a new feature called Pokéwood in which you can make your own movies (possibly with your own recorded battles) and edit them with dialogue and special effects. And if you didn’t realize it, Pokéwood is a reference to Hollywood.

Finally, the screenshots show off returning characters from the original Black and White, such as your old rivals Cheren and Bianca. Bianca being the one to give you your first Pokémon in the upcoming sequels. Even N comes back, but let’s hope he doesn’t challenge you with his legendary; that would just be unfair.

Pokémon Black and White 2 are shaping up to be true sequels to the original Black and White. Sure, there aren’t any new Pokémon being added, but it is a ‘new’ adventure with a new plot. I’m excited and I can’t wait to see how Nintendo and Game Freak are going to update the teams of the old Gym Leaders. personally, I can’t wait to beat down Lance and Blue again; those guys gave me the hardest time back in the day.

Kyree didn't have an N64 or Dreamcast as a kid (so sad) and he doesn't remember finishing any of his PlayStation games, but skip to the PS2/GC/Xbox era and everything changed. He hasn't been outside to play tag in forever, but he can recall playing way too much Smash Bros. and even more Kingdom Hearts; seriously, he can recite lines from it. I think he may have a problem.
