[Update] Capcom has confirmed that Okami HD will be coming to everyone this fall for $19.99 on PSN. It’ll have trophy support as well as PS Move support. Awesome, right? I know! Here’s a trailer to make love to those eyeballs of yours.
Not even 12 hours after we posted the rumor about an HD version of Okami coming to the PlayStation 3 was the actual game confirmed for a November release. This will make the third system that the game has been on (4 if you want to count Okamiden for the DS).
The HD remake, called Okami: Superb Edition (or something of that nature), will be about 3,990 yen, have Move Support and early copies of the game will contain a download code for an Okami book.
Hopefully Japan won’t be the only ones who will be able to enjoy Okami again on the PS3 and the game will see a worldwide release. I can’t imagine a reason why it would be a Japan-Exclusive but, as always, we’ll have to wait to see what happens.
Kyree didn't have an N64 or Dreamcast as a kid (so sad) and he doesn't remember finishing any of his PlayStation games, but skip to the PS2/GC/Xbox era and everything changed. He hasn't been outside to play tag in forever, but he can recall playing way too much Smash Bros. and even more Kingdom Hearts; seriously, he can recite lines from it. I think he may have a problem.
