In just a few short weeks the “dog days” of summer will be upon us, and what better way to spend them than playing the title that was killed off and resurrected not once, but twice, Sleeping Dogs, when it hits stores in August. United Front Games and Square Enix have released a developer diary on some of the more prominent and featured actors who did the voice over team, and we have that for you here today:
Once an original IP, it was picked up by Activision and put it under its “True Crime” series (to be True Crime: Streets of Hong Kong), and then Activision made the poor choice to kicked it to the curb (along with many other titles) when Activision & Blizzard merged.
Luckily, Squeenix saw the value in the work United Front had already put into the game, and picked it up for the finish, and made the decision to allow the developer to restore the game back to its original incarnation, and this was a great idea, as it looks like it’ll be the open world title to beat this year.
Sleeping Dogs is due out for release on August 14th for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
