Review | Castlestorm

Castlestorm asks the age old question: why build your castle right next door to your enemy’s? Because then you wouldn’t have a game. So in Castlestorm, you shoot projectiles at your enemy’s castle to wreck it to the ground, commanding troops and even delving into the fray yourself. Part 2D hack-n-slash, part tower defense, part physics-based destruction shooter, Castlestorm is an amalgam of genres. With a good bit of depth and a humorous presentation, it also makes a solid addition to the Xbox Live Arcade catalog.

Born and raised in Denver, CO in 1979, I've been playing games since I was old enough to hold a controller. I was weened on Atari, then Nintendo and Sega, and currently own just about every console and handheld made. I'm an avid hip hop fan and I love to read books. Favorite authors include Dean Koontz, Stephen Hunter, and Christopher Moore. I'm also an avid movie watcher and I try to collect as many Blu-Rays as I can.
