Alan Wake was a great game that had the misfortune of coming out around the same time as Red Dead Redemption. It has a decent story, great atmosphere and simple, yet effective, gameplay. Fortunately, Remedy Entertainment are going to be doing a sequel to the game. Even more fortunate, is the confirmation from Major Nelson himself (or his Twitter, rather):
We can confirm that this new “Alan Wake” game will be a fully standalone experience and released on Xbox LIVE.
I can’t wait to get back into the world of Alan Wake and run for the nearest light source that I can find. This also reminds me that I have yet to play the second downloadable episode for the original game. Shame on me! If you haven’t played Alan Wake, go find a copy and dive into it if you’re a fan of story driven games that have a protagonist that’s as normal as you an me. Well, normal aside from all the weird, freaky stuff that happens to him.
Kyree didn't have an N64 or Dreamcast as a kid (so sad) and he doesn't remember finishing any of his PlayStation games, but skip to the PS2/GC/Xbox era and everything changed. He hasn't been outside to play tag in forever, but he can recall playing way too much Smash Bros. and even more Kingdom Hearts; seriously, he can recite lines from it. I think he may have a problem.
