The awesome hybrid-rhythm Bit.Trip games make their mark in the indie game market in the past two years with their episode release on WiiWare, compilation on the 3DS, and even a cameo in Super Meat Boy. Now with Runner 2 on the horizon for Gaijin Games, co-founders, Mike Roush and Alex Neuse discussed some of the current plans for Commander Video with IGN. With Runner 2 slated for release on XBLA and PSN, the duo noted that they were definitely interested in bringing the original six games to the downloadable services. However, the draconian exclusivity rules that Microsoft has in place for the Marketplace unfortunately means that the titles will never see release as downloadables there, with Roush noting that “[Microsoft] doesn’t care about its fans.” Neuse stepped in to note that since the PSN is a bit more friendly in that respect, and that they are considering bringing the games out on that platform. However, nothing official is on the table for now, of course.
