Xbox Live Arcade Games have always been known to have–at the minimum–200 Gamerscore in total, but a recent post on Xbox360Achievements states that that may no longer be the case in the future.
Xbox360Achievements says they have a source (who came to them in the past and ended up being right) that came to them with knowledge on the impending changes to the Achievements for Arcade games. If these reports are true, around June 1st, Arcade games will get a Gamerscore increase to 400 and have the opportunity to add DLC with up to 100 additional Gamerscore; and DLC can be added every quarter, up to four times. So, in theory, you could have an Arcade game with 800 Gamerscore and 62 Achievements. Wow.
Still, none of this has been confirmed by Microsoft and we only have the word of an anonymous insider to go on. Safe to say, we can all hold onto a bit of skepticism. But could you imagine an Arcade game having more achievements that same full retail games? Crazy.
Kyree didn't have an N64 or Dreamcast as a kid (so sad) and he doesn't remember finishing any of his PlayStation games, but skip to the PS2/GC/Xbox era and everything changed. He hasn't been outside to play tag in forever, but he can recall playing way too much Smash Bros. and even more Kingdom Hearts; seriously, he can recite lines from it. I think he may have a problem.
