The traditional rhythm game genre may have crashed in 2008, but it’s experiencing a minor resurgence with games like the Just Dance series, Final Fantasy Theatrhythm, and Symphony. Retro/Grade, an indie sci-fi rhythm shooter by 24 Caret Games, looks to make its mark on the genre with a unique spin on gameplay, colorful and detailed visuals, and catchy tunes. While Retro/Grade doesn’t quite stand up to the competition in terms of variety, there’s still a lot of fun to be had in this sinfully inexpensive game.
