Fake DS! What’s going on?
I haven’t been posting a while – couldn’t get to it.
But now… I bring you this weird news.
In Kent of UK, apparently there were 40 counterfeit DS systems sold before Christmas. Of course, the police got to it and arrested the responsible men. Those people create counterfeit games to go along with it, including DS’s and Game Boy Advanced games. Boy did they get money, the sources believe they themselves probably earned around £50,000 just in December.
Respecting the DS is a big part, don’t you guys think?

My good ol’ DS – What are you bringing me for 2009?
So my Nintendo DS, what are you going to bring me for this new year of 2009?
Games? Games? MORE GAMES?
Yes, that’s just it. Gamers look forward on the new games that the DS will bring them.
But wait a minute, what kind of games? Boring ones? NO! Gamasutra decided to pick out the most awaited games of 2009.
What do you think they are? Here’s the listing.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
My my, another awesome Dragon Quest game from the very well known Dragon Quest series. This game was remade to give it a little 3D boost for the DS. One of the classic games you would insist to know, and I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of it.
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Let’s see, another classic Japanese-exclusive game remade to make it better. I’m sure a lot of people are looking forward to this remake… It’s original game was good, but remade to be even better. Watch out for that!
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Favourites favourites. Who hasn’t heard of the title GTA? Or maybe if you haven’t, you’ve gotta check this out. After the PSP got it’s 2 GTA games, maybe it’s time for the DS to get some too. Here it came, games filled with minigames. It might look a little different from the normal GTA games you’re used to, but heck, GTA gives you the promise, just with the name of it.
Infinite Space
Wow. Now what for the DS? A space game! Yes, but this one has it’s specialties. If you’ve heard of Star Trek, or even played it and liked it, you’re suggested to take a look on this game. This is a similar game, but has a lot more different features to it. Go take a look and try it out if you could.
Mario & Luigi RPG 3
Okay. More classic returns. Mario and Luigi, it’s original portable RPG comes back, and you can play as even more different characters. There wasn’t a lot of news about the game, but it was heard to have this other kind of combat system. It came up before, but boy do I wish it was back. Different new features, another game to lookout for.
Pokemon Platinum
You’ve got to be kidding me if you don’t know what Pokemon is. Yes, another version of Pokemon on the DS. Once again, a thoughtful and great creation from Game Freak, Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company. Diamond and Pearl was a good seller, and if this is even better than that… Even more features… Gamers, you’ll have to get this and play to continue the sequel!
TrackMania DS
Okay, this game’s for those who like the racing fun, speed, and all that power. TrackMania DS allows you to create tracks with the friendly DS touch screen. Boy wouldn’t that be fun, you making it, and you playing it. Wouldn’t be so long to wait for would it?
Of course, I haven’t listed all the games there were from the whole ranking. I’ve listed the games that seemed interesting to me. For more of the games on the list, visit:

Nintendo DSi – Success or what?
Players buy it, ranking takes it. Under what Media Create says, Nintendo DSi’s have went insane in selling. During the week of December 22nd to 28th, they recorded 245,150 Nintendo DS sales, 134,958 WII sales, 118,765 PSP sales, 45,989 PS3 sales, 13,011 XBOX 360 sales, and only 10,404 PS2 sales. Nintendo has took the lead once again. The DSi made a good sale, and so did the Wii, coming in second place. Both Nintendo products have won against the other gaming consoles. Wouldn’t you think that’s a success?
