Custom Wiimote/Nunchuk Proton Pack

There isn’t much I can say about this except the fact that it is the coolest thing I’ve seen done to a Wiimote ever. I bet you wish you had thought of this uh Nintendo. Seriously if the Ghostbusters game for the Wii came with one of these they would have sold a lot more copies.

Mark Beaumont, Campcom COO, Dies Suddenly

Mark Beaumont, the chief operating officer for Capcom in North America and Europe suddenly died this morning of a heart attack. Mark Beaumont was in his late 50s and was officially Capcom’s executive vice president, officer and Head of North America, South America, and Europe consumer software publishing.

Capcom released the following statement

“Our COO and dear friend, Mark Beaumont, passed away this morning. This sudden loss has left us with deep sadness. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones. We will remember him for his humor, passion and commitment to Capcom and our industry. He was a great leader and visionary and his spirit will carry on in everything that we do. Please join us in memory of Mark.”

Team Fortress 2 ‘War’ Update Arrives

First off if you’re wondering I picked this picture entirely on that position. On other news the ‘war’ update for Team Fortress 2 arrived today along with new weapons and achievements. The demoman’s final weapon is The Scottish Resistance which is a new sticky bomb launcher that lays down twice as many bombs but only detonates the ones the demoman is looking at. The soldier receives The Buff Banner and The Equalizer pickax. The Buff Banner charges as the soldier takes damage, eventually allowing him to raise it for 14 seconds granting mini crits to nearby teammates. The Equalizer pickax becomes more deadly after the more damage you take allowing faster movement and harder hits.

Assassin’s Creed 2 DLC Trailer

Ubisoft has announced two new DLC packs for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The packs are the DNA sequences that were left out of the game. ‘The Battle of Forli’ arrives at the end of January. This DLC places Ezio in the historic battle where the Orsi Family tries to take control of Forli. ‘Bonfire of Vanities’ arrives at the end of February. In this DLC Ezio learns the spring jump and must stop a book burning monk named Savonarola. The DLC packs are said to be priced $3.99 and $4.99 respectively.

Team Fortress 2 ‘War’ Update

Team Fortress 2’s Demoman will receive a sword and a shield as a part of Valve’s ‘War’ update this week. The update gives the demoman a close combat kit that includes an ‘Eyelander’ Claymore and the Chargin’Targe. Using these weapons however comes with a price. The sword guarantees a one hit kill but it reduces the maximum starting health. Although every kill with the sword grants a boost to health and speed that are stackable up to four kills. The shield replaces the sticky bomb launcher, and provides a 50%  fire damage resistance and 65% blast damage resistance. The shield also allows the demoman to charge at high speeds dealing heavy damage, and it also gives the demoman a chance to strike with the sword mid charge.

Now you can get Pets for your Avatars on your Xbox!

Every time new avatar stuff gets announced I just hope that it’s free and this like everything else isn’t. Tomorrow those you can shell out the points while be able to pick from a large dog, pug dog, dog in bag, cat, Siamese cat, long haired cat, Guinea Pig, Goldfish, Monkey, Bird, Snake, and Pony each for 240 Microsoft Points or $3. I know people have to buying this because Microsoft would stop if they weren’t turning a profit, so to those who have these extra points feel free to send me some. I’m just kidding, but seriously feel free.

Walmart cuts game prices for the holidays

Walmart is cutting back prices on a certain list of games for the holiday season. The games are receiving a 15-20% discount. Walmart is also offering a $50 gift card to anyone who purchases a Wii between December 5 and December 12. All discounts on the games are good until Christmas Eve.

Xbox 360 Games on Demand Update 11/17

The Games on Demand Update for November 17 features only one game, Grid. Grid is an aggressive racing game where you both street race and race in competitions. Grid will cost $29.99 USD with prices varying due to location. Grid will not be available for download in Japan.

Final Fantasy XIII Has a Release Date

Final Fantasy XIII finally has a release date for both North America and Europe. It will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 9, 2010. It may end up being almost three months after the Japanese release, but I still can’t wait.
