Final Fantasy XIII is on the bottom of Ray Muzyka’s “to-play” list

2043.8877.0247.BioWare.jpg 610x0 Final Fantasy XIII is on the bottom of Ray Muzykas to play listI’m going to go out and say that I don’t own nor have I even touched Final Fantasy XIII yet. I’m a huge RPG fan and a big fan of the series, but just because of my lack of time and moolah, I can’t afford to get it. It’s also…not something that I’m really looking forward to. Just from reviews and what people have personally told me, well I’ve just lost a lot of excitement.

It looks like Ray Muzyka, one of the head honcho’s over at BioWare is pretty not-so-interested in the game as well, expressing this in a Game Informer interview.

“I’ve been reading some reviews on that one. That may be on the bottom of my list right now”

“It’s kind of a question mark. It would have been right up there before I read about it, but some of this other stuff is probably more pressing.”

I can totally see where he’s coming from on it. Although it will be really interesting to see what he has to say once he’s got around to playing the game (although I’m not sure that he has that many pressing things to do).

UK Charts for Week Ending 3/13/10 – Want a little Final with that Fantasy?

UK UK Charts for Week Ending 3/13/10 Want a little Final with that Fantasy?
No surprises as usual this week, or at least for the number 1 spot. With Final Fantasy XIII coming out last week, it has taken the number 1 spot away from Bad Company 2, pushing that down to #2, and Just Dance (GASP) to #3. Heavy Rain stays where it’s at, some Modern Warfare 2 (just die already goddammit) up to 6, Ben 10 for some ungodly fucking reason, and Wii games.

Insomniac Games gives us a response to the “going multiplatform” rumors

resistance oh well Insomniac Games gives us a response to the going multiplatform rumors

It was just yesterday that IGN was spreading the rumor from a “trusted source” that Insomniac Games would be going multiplatform with their future games. Yeah, that rumor that seems to recycle itself every couple months only to get shut down.

Insomniac Games community manager, Jstevenson made a nice little post at NeoGAF pretty much putting the cap on everything.

“Well guys, Ted has spoken so you have that.

But c’mon, didn’t we just deal with this rumor like two months ago? And a few months before that? And so on?”

So I guess that’s that, or at least until another major gaming site puts the rumor out there from a “trusted source”, and we go through the same shit again.

It’s true, Zeus really is a choad

zeus god of war 585x327 Its true, Zeus really is a choadGamesRadar is notorious for making tons of lists, some good, and some not so good. Well they recently made a list of 94 games reviewed in only 5 words. It gets really good actually, and all of them are true. My own personal favorite:

God of War II: Zeus is such a choad.

or what about

Final Fantasy VII: Sephiroth kills Aerith; everybody cry.

oh yeah, spoiler alerts.

Click the GR link above and check out the full list. You really won’t be disappointed.

Epic shows Unreal Game Engine Upgrades…Gears of War 3 anybody?

Up in the GDC, Epic was all over the place. One of their major announcements was their updates to the unreal engine, and it looks fucking gorgeous. Above is a Gears of War 3 tech demo of the upgrades. If we get an HD version we’ll definitely swap it out, but it still looks so great that we want it now.

Kotaku made a proposition as to having these graphics in the next Gears of War game, and we definitely wouldn’t mind that. Check some screens below, hit the link above to see the rest.

Rumor: Ratchet & Clank devs suggest the game possibly going multiplatform?

ratchet 585x329 Rumor: Ratchet & Clank devs suggest the game possibly going multiplatform? Some interesting news to kick off the weekend. IGN has just reported that a “trusted source” from Insomniac Games is hinting at the Ratchet & Clank series going multiplatform.

This may seem odd to do all of the sudden, but since Sony doesn’t own Insomniac, they can do whatever they want, and they might just start developing games for the Xbox 360 and possibly even the PC or Wii.

It would be interesting if this is indeed proven true to see how their next project sells given the extra support of other consoles and people to buy it. What do you guys think? Smart move or not?

It really is hard to get more awesome than this, and it’s a damn good way to start off the weekend. Combine a Casio VL-10, a typewriter, and countless other instruments, and you get Tetris.

GDC Graces us with New Fable III Screenshots and…Twitter Integration!?

gdc10 05 585x330 GDC Graces us with New Fable III Screenshots and...Twitter Integration!?GDC has graced us with a little bit of news here and there concerning Fable III. First, Peter Molyneux announced that the game will have Twitter support, but we really have no clue how it’s going to be implemented.

“I Twitter now and, you know, I’ve got followers on Twitter,” he said, referring to his new found love for the service.

“That’s an interesting mechanic, and we integrate that into the Fable experience.”

And then below, as you can see ,we’ve got six brand-spankin’ new screenshots of the game. There’s some beautiful environments, skeletons, and a guy wielding a bad-ass sword, so we’re going to assume him as the protagonist.

onlive 585x329 OnLive set to start streaming games in June for $15 a monthYup, you heard it: OnLive has announced at GDC that their service will launch on June 17th in the United States, and will cost you $14.95 per month (which includes the service itself, but not the rental and ownership fees of games).

You want more you greedy bastard?

If you’re one of the first 25,000 people to pre-register for the service, they’ll give you the first 3 months of OnLive for free. Let me re-iterate that: FOR FREE!

Unless of course you live in Hawaii or Alaska, in which case you won’t be getting any OnLive. Ever. Suckas.
