Wakeboarding on the PS3? Makes PERFECT sense!

Wakeboarding HD Logo 1 585x270 Wakeboarding on the PS3? Makes PERFECT sense! Huh, never heard of the game until now, but I guess Creat Studios is creating Wakeboarding HD that will available to download on the PlayStation Network. It’s completely controller-controlled, so my excitement just got cut in half.

“Wakeboarding HD returns gamers to the intense, over-the-top action of 90’s arcade games, combined with the best of modern gameplay. TikGames is thrilled to bring another innovative, high-end title to gamers on the PlayStation® Network,” said Anatoly Tikhman, Founder and CEO of TikGames, LLC.

The screenshots below look pretty interesting and the environments look cool, but I mean if Tony Hawk RIDE can be as awesome as it was, why can’t Wakeboarding HD?

Pick it up March 25th in North America for $14.99

Ah man, look how much fun the people in these product shots of the PlayStation Move are having

It looks like we’ve got a whole shit-ton of news concerning Sony’s “PlayStation Move” (fancy name for a Wiimote that only works on the PS3). The controller will be releasing this fall. The press release tells me that this will offer “a motion-based, high-definition gaming experience unlike anything on the market”, but besides the hi-def, I’m pretty sure I already own a Wii.

I don’t wanna hate on the controller, but seriously, we’ve seen Natal and all of the things that it’s supposed to do, but with these we really haven’t seen much that’s actually that innovative and that would really make me want to shell out the money to buy one. There’s also a huge list of companies that are going to support the thing, but how about some games?

But just check out those product shots and action shots below. Yeah, those people are having tons of fun, so why shouldn’t I?

Because I don’t wanna have to get a third job to have to pay for the damn thing.

Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge announced, hitting this summer

MI2 logo Domestic copy jpg jpgcopy 585x415 Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChucks Revenge announced, hitting this summerYup, like was being speculated last weekend, LucasArts has just announced that they’re going to be releasing a special edition of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, which will be coming out on the 360, PC, PS3, and Apple App Store.

Like the last game, this one’s going to have a remastered score, hi-def graphics, full voice over, and the hint system all return. Players will also get to choose whether they want to directly control Guybrush, or use the ol’ point-and-click style of navigation. There’s also commentary from the makers of the original game, which will prove to tell us some interesting information and will allow us to the good ol’ memories of yesteryear.

“The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition really resonated with gamers young and old thanks to its classic storyline and updated gameplay features,” said LucasArts’ President Darrell Rodriguez. “We’re adding even more great new features in this sequel and can’t wait for classic Monkey Island fans and newcomers alike to experience perhaps the most beloved installment in the franchise ever.”

Get prepared for all of the goodness of this special edition this summer. In the mean time, check out some screenshots of the new game, as well as some comparison shots between the original game.

New Fallout 3: New Vegas screens; this game just keeps on getting better, and better

fall 14 585x365 New Fallout 3: New Vegas screens; this game just keeps on getting better, and betterYup, GamesThirst is providing us with a whole plethora of new screenshots for Fallout 3: New Vegas, and as is to be expected, the game looks a lot like it’s predecessor. A lot of it is recycled graphics, but honestly I can put that all aside because of one simple fact: It’s mother-fucking Fallout 3: New Vegas.

The game is coming out this fall, and the hype machine is starting to work, as people are claiming it to be either number 1 or number 2 for their game of the year in 2010. I’m gonna have to lend my helping hand in the hype, as I’m saying it’s number 1 on my list.

Monkey Island monkey island 530473 640 400 585x365 Rumor: Is that a special edition of Monkey Island 2 I smell? The Monkey Island special edition that Lucasarts did was pretty damn awesome. People loved it, it sold a good amount, and now Kotaku is feeding us rumors of Lucasarts doing a special edition of Monkey Island 2. They say that the game might be announced at GDC, it will be completely redone with graphics and audio like it’s predecessor, and might even come out on PlayStation Network, which the first one didn’t.

Well now they’re telling us the tried and true rumor that Sony will be coming out with a smartphone, developed by Sony Ericsson, that will be “capable of downloading and playing PlayStation games”.

The device is said to be released later in 2010, but so is the device that Sony has confirmed that “blurs distinctions among a netbook, an e-reader and a PlayStation Portable”. Well all I can say is good luck Sony. We can only hope that all of your mobile endeavors go as well as the recent PSPgo.

Yeah, you know that download-only device that they released recently.

Wait, you forgot.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood hitting the PSP this summer

6516fa b logo final Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood hitting the PSP this summer

I may only be posting this because I’m a huge Full Metal Alchemist fan (first anime I ever really got into), but here it is. Namco Bandai has just announced that Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, will be hitting the PSP this summer, and is based of the current anime series of the same name.

I’m not going to take the time to explain the story, because if you’re even interested enough to read this post then you probably already know it. The game looks to be a lot like it’s PS2 predecessors, which is action based combat split into levels. You’ll be able to upgrade their points and special abilities, and use alchemy to kick the shit out of everyone.

Above you can see the logo for the game and below a good collection of screenshots from the game. We’ll hook ya up with more information as we get it.

Well Take-Two CEO Ben Feder has announced some un-surprising information about future DLC for the game. Yippers.

“Borderlands continues to build on its success in the market,” Feder said during the quarterly financial call [Thanks, Kotaku] The Secret Armory of General Knoxx was the “highest scoring in the series.”

“We will continue to support the title with more add-on content.”

It’s good to hear that the General Knoxx pack did so great, and I’ve dug all of the DLC so far for the game and am stoked to see what they plan on doing. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what they plan on doing with the new content.
