Barack Obama is a huge fan of Modern Warfare 2

When our president, Barack Obama, isn’t jeering for change, reform, and the market (you know sometimes it goes up, and sometimes…it goes down), he’s spending his free time playing Modern Warfare 2, obviously.

Or it could just be some clever person with his gamertag set to Barack Obama, and just playing sound clips in the lobby and in games.

Garrymon: Pokemon and Garry’s Mod combined needs to be on Saturday Morning cartoons

Yeah just watch the video above and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Garry’s Mod has spawned very many videos across the internet in almost every single category possible. Well now it’s gone to the point where the game is getting combined with Pokemon to create nothing other than Garrymon. It’s 11 minutes of your time that you’ll never get back, but that you’d never have wanted to spend doing anything else. Just take it from us: don’t watch this video while under the influence of any drugs.

I know you want yourself some 22 year-old Nintendo cereal for $200

There are lots of rare, unopened things that are floating around eBay. Games, consoles, toys, whatever. Well what about an unopened box of 22 year-old Nintendo cereal?

We know what you’re thinking, “who the hell would want to buy that!?”. Well we have an answer for you! More than 22 people who bid on the box, with the selling price reaching $207.50. I mean, wouldn’t you rather buy yourself a beta key to StarCraft II with that money!?

I guess I could see it being bought, I mean you get two different types of cereal in it, the Super Mario Bros. Action Series, and the Legend of Zelda Adventure Series. It’s a two-in-one deal!

Of course the seller of said box of delciums had a winning marketing description written up.

“IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR BEING A 22 YEAR OLD THIN CARDBOARD BOX. ONLY ONE DISCLAIMER IT WOULD NOT BE WISE TO EAT THE CONTENTS OF THIS BOX EVEN THOUGH I NO YOU WILL WANT TO. I THOUGHT ABOUT IT MENY TIMES MY SELF.”

All in caps, no punctuation except for periods, and the word “meny” instead of many. No wonder it sold for so much.

A nice way to start today. A video has just sprung up of somebody in a Professor Layton outfit ice skating. What I really don’t get is how he got the time to go ice skating, and what is Luke doing? Also, how the hell is it even possible to balance with that huge-ass head?

Game Addiction is dangerous like Porn Addiction – Obviously

I mean it’s pretty obvious right? I mean what the hell was I thinking when I saw the story and thought that game addiction and porn addiction weren’t equally dangerous? I mean on both you’re looking at both on a screen.

Well, Dr. Hilarie Cash of  the ReStart facility, which treats people for texting, internet, and gaming addictions, was in an interview and dropped some interesting pieces of information. Firstly, game developers hire professional psychologists to get people addicted to games with awards and payoff structures:

All games focus on the idea of unpredictable reinforcement – you don’t know what’s going to happen when you reach the next stage, but you get “rewards” or “treats” at random points. And people who develop successful games have figured this out. In fact, many games companies hire professional psychologists these days to help them develop the best unpredictable reward payoff structures.

I mean everybody knew that right? Obviously this is a true statement.

Video games will make you developmentally disabled and make you attack people:

There was a young man who ended up having to have an intervention. When the parents tried to take the computer out of his room, he tried to attack them with a knife. They just backed down, gave him his computer, went away. A teenager whose parents just take the computer away cold turkey – it’ll send them into a rage, and that rage can be quite dangerous.

And lastly, relating porn addiction with gaming addiction. Makes sense right? Well gaming is just as dangerous as porn as I’m sure we all knew already.

I think they’re equally hazardous. Pornography taps into anyone’s sex drive or need for sex. I’m sure the numbers of sex addicts far outnumber game addicts. That will probably continue, but I know that the internet-based games are typically highly addictive.

Man, this lady is a super genius. I really wish I was as smart and had the mentality of her. Jesus she sounds more like a FOX correspondent than a tard that doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

There will be pieces in a new Metal Gear Solid game? WTF?

Yeah, we were wondering what the fuck too when we saw the above image. That’s just a screenshot off a new website Konami has put up, and shows snake under a cardboard box with a little text bubble that says “Piece Walker coming soon”. Well, we don’t know what exactly a “Piece Walker” is, but there’s either some cleverness behind the title, or the person they hired to make the title is half fucking retarded.

It’s only on the Japan version of the site, so we’re expecting it to stay there, but odds are it’s some mobile device sort of thing. That or…yeah, that’s it.

Talk about deja vu. I think that this kind of video and event is something that should happen every generation of gaming consoles. There was the N64 kid freakout, now a 360 kid freakout. It’s just as epic, makes you wonder what the fuck is wrong with this kid, and makes you glad that a video of you isn’t on the internet forever freaking out over an inanimate object.
