Suda 51 thinking about reiterations of Michigan and Killer 7
WHAT’S THAT!? Yeah, news that is about shake your trousers! Suda Goichi, in a recent interview with Electronic Theater, has expressed an interest in revisiting both Michigan: Report From Hell and Killer 7. Please, nobody say anything to make this man mad or he might revoke this.
“… I think that it would be very interesting to create something like Michigan again in the future — it could be really good,” says Suda. “I still talk to Sakurai-san, who is the president of Spike Games which was the publisher of Michigan. They’re also interested in making a game like that again in the future.”
I don’t know about playing through a viewfinder of the camera, but Killer 7 was one of the craziest and most inventive games last generation, so let’s do it! There have been lots of rumors about a Wii version, so lets see if we see any news in the coming months…

Netflix has a question on a survey about it’s service…on the DS!?
A poll from Netflix has a very odd question that points towards maybe it’s service expanding to the Nintendo DS, or just some thought into the prospect. Don’t believe me and can’t read the image above? Here’s exactly what the question says:
Imagine that Netflix offers its subscribers the ability to instantly watch movies and & TV episodes on their Nintendo DS. The selection available to instantly watch includes some new releases, lots of classics and TV episodes. There are no advertisements or trailers, and movies start in as little as 30 seconds. You can fast-forward, rewind, and pause or watch again. The movies & TV episodes you instantly watch are included in your Netflix membership at no additional fee.
So the service that’s on almost all platforms about now, just bite-sized. What do you guys think? I can’t imagine that they’d be able to get the whole thing running in a way that would allow videos to be streamed in a non-choppy manner, let alone at a high enough quality for people to be satisfied. I must say though, it would be damn cool if they could do it, and I would be more than stoked to hear them doing something of the sort.

Reggie doesn’t believe Apple’s a threat
In an interview with Forbes, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime reiterates many things, one of those being that Apple in the mobile sector is no problem with them at all, because they’re just no competition!
There’s been no data to suggest an encroachment on our business. The iPhone has been out on the marketplace for just a couple of years. In the last two years we’ve set two records on our DS business, last year selling over 11.2 million units. So there’s been no evidence that we’ve lost any business to that competitor.
Yeah we’re gonna have to agree with that. The iPhone and iPod touch are out there for the quickie games, that provide you entertainment for short little bursts. While it has the capacity to do “real” and longer games, that’s just not the audience that it caters do. This is why Apple is of now real competition to the DS line.

Super Mario furniture is very questionable
Please, don’t make a comment asking me about the title if you didn’t get it. Anyhow, this is one of the better pieces of Mario or just gaming furniture that I’ve seen. It comes from Neatorama reader Dennis whose girlfriend, not surprisingly enough, made painted them all up.
Kudos to Dennis’ girlfriend on the shelves, and man he is one lucky man.

Barack Obama is a huge fan of Modern Warfare 2
When our president, Barack Obama, isn’t jeering for change, reform, and the market (you know sometimes it goes up, and sometimes…it goes down), he’s spending his free time playing Modern Warfare 2, obviously.
Or it could just be some clever person with his gamertag set to Barack Obama, and just playing sound clips in the lobby and in games.
But that would make too much sense.

People are really taking advantage of how awesome Bad Company 2 is
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is out, and people are all over the online doing this and that, ranting and raving about how good the game is (oh wait, are those servers up yet?). Well here are two videos of people taking advantage of explosives, and using them to thwart the other their own team. I say it’s only a matter of time before buildings are flying through the air because of explosives.

New Fallout 3: New Vegas screens; this game just keeps on getting better, and better
Yup, GamesThirst is providing us with a whole plethora of new screenshots for Fallout 3: New Vegas, and as is to be expected, the game looks a lot like it’s predecessor. A lot of it is recycled graphics, but honestly I can put that all aside because of one simple fact: It’s mother-fucking Fallout 3: New Vegas.
The game is coming out this fall, and the hype machine is starting to work, as people are claiming it to be either number 1 or number 2 for their game of the year in 2010. I’m gonna have to lend my helping hand in the hype, as I’m saying it’s number 1 on my list.

Now that’s a cupcake I’d play my games with
Cupcakes are delicious, as I’m sure everybody knows. Well now that the can’t get more delicious, people have to step up their cupcake design game, and this one definitely “takes the cake”, if you know what I mean.
This one was found on clevercupcakes’ flickr page, and created by Cupcakes Take the Cake which, after looking at all of those cupcakes, I’m drooling all over my laptop. I blame Microsoft.
