Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is out: Here’s the launch trailer and TV Spot
Battlefield: Bad Company has finally come out today, and people are rushing (or they better) to the stores picking the game off the shelves like it’s [insert simile or analogy here]. What does that mean? Well the whole TV spot and launch trailer was just an excuse to make another article about the game, but above you can see the launch trailer and below the TV spot. As always, there’s tons of explosions, review scores, blood, rockets, so on, and so forth.
Also if you get the game and register the game at http://veteran.battlefield.com and pick up the M1 Rifle for pretty much nothing. Also remember you can pick up the DLC pack numeral uno for free, with the Nelson Bay (Rush) and Laguna Alta (Conquest) maps included.
Can anyone say #1 spot for the UK sales at the end of this week?

BioShock Arcadia level demade for Doom II from lead level designer of game
I’m sure by now all of you have already played through BioShock 2 and experienced the beauty that is Rapture. I’m also assuming that if you’ve been gaming long enough, that you’ve probably beaten or at least played Doom II. Or at lest, you should have.
Anyhow, the lead level designer for BioShock 2, JP LeBreton, has taken the time to “demake” the arcadia level in the game to play with Doom II. The level is up to download for free on his personal website. But wait, that’s not all!
He also posted up in the notes section of the arcadia level all about the process of demaking the level from BioShock to Doom, definitely a good read (if you can put in the effort to do so). Just remember: more blues and greens.

Yup, another week, another number 1 spot taken by a game that just came out in the UK. Unsurprisingly enough, Heavy Rain took the number 1 spot having just come out in the week, knocking Aliens vs. Predator down a notch. And wait! It looks like before when we were saying that Just Dance wasn’t going to move out of the number 2 spot, it’s moved down the the number 3 spot! I guess you can blame that on us devs.

Concept art from Jonathan Blow’s “The Witness” released with launch of website
Jonathan Blow, the man behind the critically acclaimed sidescrolling puzzler Braid, has put up a website for his latest game, called The Witness. Before on the original site all we really figured out is that the game was “An exploration-puzzle game on an uninhabited island”, and that it was going to be released on multiple platforms in 2011 if it is finished.
Now with the new blog up for the game, we’ve got a nice little collection of concept art for the game, but still no insight into what the game might be about. There’s some windmills, a door, a room with nice decor, and more. What does it mean? That’s up to you to decide.

Sonic: It’s the same crap they’ve sold us the past 10 years
Mega64 hits another one out of the park with their latest video about the good ol’ burger joint Sonic. I’m gonna have to agree with them, their food just doesn’t match up to other places, and at the price doesn’t justify the shit they’re feeding us. Yet we keep coming back.
And Weezer fucking sucks.

Clearly the Wii is just a toy and not meant for entertainment
I honestly thought that we were over the point where people, especially those in charge of companies or in a high position, say stupid shit that makes no sense about the Wii or other consoles. Well obviously that’s not over, as the former DICE CEO Fredrik Liliegrin, and now running Antic Entertainment sees the Wii as a virus. Just read the quote below to see what I mean:
…the Wii, to me, I would describe it as a Virus, that doesn’t stick. Everyone comes home, it’s a toy, people have got to realize the Wii is a toy, not an entertainment focused product. People come home, someone, they play Wii for a bit, feel it’s really cool, blah blah blah, they go out and buy one. Ask people how often they play the Wii, that are not the core game consumer that buys one because they have an Xbox 360 and a Wii or a PlayStation 3 and a Wii. The people that only own the Wii, ask that consumer how often they use their machine. They just don’t use it, it was cool, but they’re not gamers, so they put it away. Other than the Wii Fit phenomenon that helped a lot of people get a nice cutie voice telling that they’re fat and need to go work out, they need to find other alternatives. Nintendo is smart in that way in that they realize this is not a video game machine, this is not a games game machine.
The metaphor of the Wii being a virus pretty much ended after he said “I could describe it as a virus”, and I really don’t see what’s wrong with the Wii. I own a 360 and a Wii and would consider myself a “hardcore” gamer, but I love what comes out on the Wii, and it has it’s own merits. It’s not the same as the 360 or PS3, and it wasn’t meant to be, so that doesn’t mean you should totally shit on it.
I guess I just don’t get it.

Valve wants to “give PS3 owners the best possible experience”
Remember when we were talking about before how Valve really wanted to develop on the PS3? Well Chet Faliszek they were chatting with CVG and they said that they actually wanted to get better on developing on the PS3.
“We thought that the Orange Box didn’t put our best foot forward with the PS3 community. We don’t want to do something like that again on the PS3. We want to give PS3 owners the best possible experience.
“Some of that will come from us learning and getting better. Before we can go onto the PS3 again, we want to make sure we’re better at developing for it.”
I say less talk, more action Valve. I mean the Orange Box on the PS3 was so bad that I don’t really wanna make fun of it anymore, but you guys gotta show me that you actually wanna do something that’s not shit on the PS3. I’m hopeful, but am not gonna be over-optimistic.

Garrymon: Pokemon and Garry’s Mod combined needs to be on Saturday Morning cartoons
Yeah just watch the video above and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Garry’s Mod has spawned very many videos across the internet in almost every single category possible. Well now it’s gone to the point where the game is getting combined with Pokemon to create nothing other than Garrymon. It’s 11 minutes of your time that you’ll never get back, but that you’d never have wanted to spend doing anything else. Just take it from us: don’t watch this video while under the influence of any drugs.
Seriously.
Garrymon battle?
