Halo: Reach won’t be letting you duel wield… we say “good, we weren’t using it anyways!”
On the latest episode of G4 TV (don’t call us out we weren’t actually watching it), Geoff Keighley announced that duel wielding hasn’t been implemented into Halo: Reach yet. Honestly though, I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal because nobody used it (unless there’s akimbo shotguns, baby).
He also announced that players will be able to completely control the look of their Spartan’s, and however you wish to pimp them out, they’ll look the part in the single player game and online too. That’s about it for your daily interesting news on Halo: Reach.
We’ll see you tomorrow for more disappointments, until then, keep being a douche and using the akimbo shotguns in Modern Warfare 2.

Here’s your “world premier” trailer for Halo: Reach
YEAH! Along with that awesome announcement of Street Fighter IV on the iPhone, we’ve also got a world premier trailer for Halo: Reach. The only difference? This one we’re not going to be sarcastic about and make fun of, but it’s legit. Too legit.
To quit.
The only problem is that this was released at the VGA’s. So does that make it un-legit?
If so, then I must quit.

Halo: Reach beta confirmed for May 3, 2010
We’re confirming and dating things left and right here at Default Prime. Now it’s the Halo: Reach Beta. Well Geoff Keighley’s Twitter held some interesting and very fucking great news for us. What did he say?
Halo Reach multiplayer beta hits on May 3, 2010.
BAM! Exciting huh? Well maybe not super exciting but I mean we know when it’s hitting, and it’s only a mere couple months away! You have to have a copy of Halo 3: ODST to access the beta, but I’m sure you’ve already picked that up.

Removal of DLC makes for a small going-away party for Halo 2
We knew that Microsoft was planning on terminating online support for the original Xbox, and they happened to remove the DLC for games, which is affected Halo 2. Matchmaking on the game requires all maps to play, so if you don’t have all of them, then there’s not much you can do.
The Bungie forums are full of people saddened by the news of the DLC removal and not able to play the game. Well a community manager for Bungie stepped in and replied to the people.
“On it. Not sure what, if any, solution we can work out, but we definitely can’t adjust the playlists over the weekend. Sit tight.”
Bungie was planing on doing a farewell on April 14th, and it looks like due to the removal of the DLC…we don’t know how many people are going to be able to attend.
A lot of people are seeing if they can get the game’s Multiplayer Map Pack disc and seeing if that will solve the problem, although whether it will or not is still unknown.
