Go Figure: Take-Two says they will “continue to support the title with more add-on content”

Gearbox has more than a terrific job at supporting their hit game Borderlands with DLC and add-on content. Well Take-Two CEO Ben Feder has announced some un-surprising information about future DLC for the game. Yippers.

“Borderlands continues to build on its success in the market,” Feder said during the quarterly financial call [Thanks, Kotaku] The Secret Armory of General Knoxx was the “highest scoring in the series.”

“We will continue to support the title with more add-on content.”

It’s good to hear that the General Knoxx pack did so great, and I’ve dug all of the DLC so far for the game and am stoked to see what they plan on doing. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what they plan on doing with the new content.

EA confirms more multiplayer content for Bad Company 2

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 isn’t even out yet and EA is pushing for it to take the number one spot for online games. They’ve just announced that all new maps will be unclocked for the game when it comes out on March 2nd and in the UK on March 5th. The pack will include the Laguna Alta map playable in Conquest mode and Nelson Bay map playable in Rush mode, bringing the total number of multiplayer maps up to 10.

Want a little bit more? Later in March yet another map pack will be released FOR FREE! That one will give players the ability to play the Arica Harbor map in Conquest mode and Laguna Presa map in Rush mode. Bam! Howdoya like that?

We are deeply committed to the FPS community and Battlefield fans worldwide,” said Patrick Bach, Senior Producer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. “These first two map packs are just the beginning. 2K Games announces BioShock 2 DLC that expands the single and multiplayer world

Yup, the worldwide phenomena that is BioShock 2 will be getting some DLC that will be expanding upon the single and multiplayer features of the game, and will open up even more of the world of Rapture up to the players. The pack that will be kicking this off will be the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack.

This will be the first of only SEVERAL DLC packs planned for the game, and contains a number of customization features that will allow players to further their character’s development in the game’s multiplayer experience. Some of these features include:

• Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
• New playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
• 20 new trials*
• A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
• Five additional masks*
*Some items are only available after a player achieves a rank of 41 or higher.

“The fans who waited in the snow, rain and cold for the midnight launch of BioShock 2 have spoken and their message is that Rapture still has many fascinating stories to tell,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “Downloadable content is a key part of our efforts to continue to entice the fans that have made 2K a household name – we intend to deliver single and multiplayer content that respects and expands upon one of the greatest fictional worlds ever created.”

This DLC pack for will be available this March from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 and Windows Live for 400 Microsoft Points and from the PlayStation Network for $4.99.

Assassin’s Creed 2: Bonfire of the Vanities Trailer and DLC information

Assassin’s Creed 2 was a very…okay game. Well Ubisoft is putting out DLC for the game in the form of the Bonfire of the Vanities and 3 Templar Secret Locations. We’ve also got the trailer for the DLC above and below is a clip from the press release about the DLC so you can check that out as well!

A must for Assassin’s fans, Assassin’s Creed II Sequence 13: Bonfire of the Vanities continues to expand the addictive AC2 universe. Work with Machiavelli to free the city of Florence from the grip of the mad monk Savonarola by targeting influential citizens under his control. Battle, sneak and free-run your way through more than ten challenging new memories. Discover a new district of Florence, and utilize Ezio’s brand new move: the spring-jump.

Palazzo Medici – Located in Florence, the player gets to explore the house of the Medici family. It is located in the San Marco district of Florence.

Santa Maria dei Frari – Located in Venice, in the San Polo district, the player gets to explore this renowned church built in the XIIIth century.

Arsenal Shipyard – Venice was known for its Arsenal, a shipyard that was settled in the eastern part of the city. The last Templars’ Lair is located there, and lets the player explore the Drydocks.

Just the Bonfire of the Vanities is going to cost 320 Microsoft, and the Bonfire of the Vanities and the 3 Templar secret locations is 520 Microsoft points and will be available to download tomorrow.

Fairytale Fights gets it’s first pack of DLC

The not-so critically acclaimed Fairytale Fights looks like it’s getting it’s first pack of DLC on the PS3. Playlogic has announced that on Feb 11, you’ll be able to pick up the first Treasure Pack, which will be available on the 360 at a later date. What does this pack include?

New characters include:
• Bones: a two foot tall calcium lover
• Princess Afia: the mysterious princess from a sparkly land far far away
• Grandma Red: Little Red Riding Hood’s grandma
• Puss in Boots: everyone’s favorite feline

How about some new freakin’ maps for ya?
• Time to Die
• Rooftop Rumble
• Cannon Ball Bay
