Kevin Butler at E3…might have happened to steal the show
Sure Nintendo had a good lineup of games and whatnot with it’s 3DS, but Kevin Butler doesn’t work for Sony. Sure, he might just be an actor, but he represents the gamer. If his speech at E3 doesn’t get you a little bit pumped and excited, I don’t know what will. While I may not be super excited for the PlayStation Move, I think Kevin could convince me to buy one. Even if I don’t have the money.
Congratulations, Kevin, you made Sony’s press conference, while not too bad in the first place, completely worth while.

Want a little bit of Epona to grace the 3DS?
You thought that Nintendo announcing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was exciting? Well how about some Ocarina of Time for the 3DS? Yup, the game that originally graced the Nintendo 64 back in 1998 is getting a full remake that will be optimized for the 3DS, feature high definition, and a whole lot of Epona. I mean seriously, there’s a lot of Epona.
Just check out the screenshots, yo.

Get ready to explore with Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City
Etrian Odyssey did something that a lot of the new generation of gamers never really did, mapping whilst running around dungeon crawling. Back in the old days you had to make maps of the dungeons that you were in with paper and pen and then backtracking and knowing where you’re at was a lot easier.
Well the series has had two entries so far that have graced the Nintendo DS and the third one is on the way. Titled “The Drowned City”, players will be able to take on a new adventure in an area that’s around a great ocean to explore and sail, but charting your adventures is still the players’ responsibility as always.
“The Etrian Odyssey series is renowned for successfully marrying deep roleplaying gameplay with a grand sense of adventure and the thrill of the unknown,” stated Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales at Atlus. “The Drowned City, the third chapter in the fan-favorite franchise, takes the established exploration RPG gameplay-a loving tribute to classic pen-and-paper and PC entries in the genre-to exciting new frontiers. The seas off the coast of the city of Armoroad offer an exciting, mysterious unknown, filled with hidden dangers and bountiful treasures. With an entirely new host of character classes to customize and train, the addition of naval travel and exploration, and the unprecented introduction of cooperative local multiplayer content, Etrian Odyssey III isn’t content to simply continue the series; it seeks to redefine it.”

Nintendo’s 3DS gets yet ANOTHER game, and that would be Animal Crossing….in 3D
Among every other amazing game that has been announced for the 3DS, Animal Crossing was among them. Now, not too many people really anticipated the game being shown at E3, but then again who anticipated all of what Nintendo had to show everybody?
The casual game will take advantage of all of what the 3DS has to offer, and you can check out the screenshots below. Honestly, I think this is just what I need to get into Animal Crossing again. I loved Wild World, and the portability allowed me to take my DS anywhere and enjoy the game. City Folk, while having some nice additions, just didn’t quiet do it for me. Let’s hope that Nintendo adds some more features to the game, and gets rid of those god awful friend codes so we can actually enjoy the online aspect of it.
