Guitar Hero 5 DLC Will Be Incompatible With Guitar Hero: World Tour

GHSH003 618x347 Guitar Hero 5 DLC Will Be Incompatible With Guitar Hero: World Tour

Though Activision has announced that there will be downloadable content shortly after Guitar Hero 5’s release, unfortunately it will not be backwards compatible with Guitar Hero: World Tour. However, the DLC will be compatible with future Guitar Hero and Band Hero games. Previous DLC will be compatible and in the future it’ll be possible to export songs from Guitar Hero: World Tour and Smash Hits in Guitar Hero 5 (the songs will require you to download tracks with Guitar Hero 5’s updated features though).

The new DLC content is said to include band moments, expert+ drumming, and new vocal star power.

Rumor: Guitar Hero 5 Drums are basiclly World Tour Drums

gh 5 drum makeover rm eng Rumor: Guitar Hero 5 Drums are basiclly World Tour Drums

Engadget says after talking to Activision that they got to see a blurred image of the drum set. It seems to be the same as the World Tour kit only without the unnecessarily large body. They symbols are also actually round instead of a semi circle. Engadget also says that there are 3 plugs in the back 2 of them are for kick pedals and one is a mystery just like the one on the Rock Band kit. It’s strange that all we have is this blurred image 2 months before the game comes out when for World Tour the drums were revealed 6 months before the game.
