Improving Killzone 2′s multiplayer
Killzone 2 is a great game, the best first person shooter in my opinion on the PS3. The single player campaign so far has been sub-par, while the multiplayer is one of the most addictive online experiences since the original Halo came out.
As great as the online multiplayer is, there are a few things that could stand to be changed in order to make the experience even more enjoyable. So, Destructoid ( Jim Sterling rather), has put together a list of what he would do to improve Killzone 2′s multiplayer.
Deepen The Class Progression

I’m loving the class system in Killzone 2, even if it does take a load of ideas from Team Fortress, but I can’t help thinking that they could have done more with each individual. For example, I’m usually rocking the Medic, but once I’d achieved his secondary ability and leveled it up, there was nowhere else to go with him. Something resembling more of a skill tree, or deeper customization options, would have given each class more to play with, so you haven’t maxed out your favorite within an hour of obtaining him.
I’m not expecting a Final Fantasy X level of depth, of course, but a few more additional abilities to unlock or even just more badges to be earned using individual classes in different ways would have given each character more work to do.

GameStop scams Killzone 2 fans
Read More
After seeing 26 preowned copies of the game yesterday, I knew that Derek’s case was not a isolated incident. This GameStop store, knowingly or not, sold the game early and then banked on all of the returns because the game “didn’t work” yet. You could call it dickishness or ineptitude on GameStop’s part, or maybe you’d just blame the customers for somewhat stupidly selling the games back. Either way, the situation stinks and certainly doesn’t do much to help GameStop’s image as an evil corporation.

As If We Knew It Wasn’t Going to Happen: Killzone 2 for sale, street date broken
A number of gamers in the United Arab Emirates have managed to get their hands on copies of Killzone 2 two weeks prior to its official release date, confirmed by YouTube videos, and comments made on the GameSpot forums.
This video, based in Dubai, is a member named moiNinja, showing him un-rapping the game, claiming he picked it up at a local gaming store.
“I couldn’t believe myself when I first saw it in a local videogame store. It was Killzone 2 the full game. [Two] weeks before the release date. The salesman told me that they managed to bring only 70 copies of Killzone 2, and they all sold out in just [five] hours… He reserved one copy for me…” reads the post.
If you check out the GameSpot forums, a member going by the name of 77slr77 posted these images, showing further proof of the street date being broken for the game extremely early.
Well, I guess some people just have all the luck huh? for official release on February 25 in Europe, and February 27 in North America. If any readers got their hands on the game, shoot me an email at tips@defaultprime.com, and I’ll post them on the site!

Halo 3 vs Killzone 2 – Graphic Comparison
Two amazingly great games, only one can be victorious. Now, it’s Halo 3 for the Xbox 360, vs Killzone 2, for the PlayStation 3. Both games have amazingly high quality graphics, but you can see for yourself which one looks better.

Wait…Where was that Killzone 2 Commercial During the Super Bowl Again?
Man, another dose of EPIC FAIL for Sony when it comes to advertising. After being teased about there being a Killzone 2 commercial during the Super Bowl, there were no signs of Killzone 2, or for that matter, even Sony at all! What’s the meaning of this? Nobody knows. This would be the perfect time for Killzone 2 to advertise their “flagship” title, and possibly have a higher selling rate.
What does this mean for Killzone 2? Probably not much, just more of the same. Obviously, if Sony isn’t going to take the initiative to advertise this title during something as big as the Super Bowl, we probably won’t see any advertisements before the game comes out, and probably after the game comes out. I don’t plan on getting a PS3 for this game, and will just chill at my friends hosue to play it, but what do you guys think about Sony’s advertising (or lack thereof) for Killzone 2, and all of their other titles?
