Metal Gear Arcade brings all the fun of stealth to an open, crowded, and loud area
In Japan the AOU arcade show started, and we’re getting videos of the revolutionary games left and right. One of these such games is Metal Gear Arcade, which brings all the fun of stealth into the crowded, loud, and open area that an arcade offers.
The game looks quiet fun actually, I just don’t really…see it catching on that much? I mean I don’t even remember when the last time I saw an arcade was. But this is in Japan and not the US so it’s different there I guess. I don’t know, what do you guys think?

Metal Gear Solid gets a bundle in large on the PSP
The PSP has a nice little collection of Metal Gear Solid games and whatnot, so Konami decided to bundle EVERYTHING together and sell it to the public at a very nice little price. This includes Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Portable Ops Plus, and the digital graphic novel of the series. All for $29.99. Crazy. This can be picked up on PlayStation Store or PlayStation network right now. So if you don’t already have all of this, then go buy it. All you PSP fans out there…yeah.

There will be pieces in a new Metal Gear Solid game? WTF?
Yeah, we were wondering what the fuck too when we saw the above image. That’s just a screenshot off a new website Konami has put up, and shows snake under a cardboard box with a little text bubble that says “Piece Walker coming soon”. Well, we don’t know what exactly a “Piece Walker” is, but there’s either some cleverness behind the title, or the person they hired to make the title is half fucking retarded.
It’s only on the Japan version of the site, so we’re expecting it to stay there, but odds are it’s some mobile device sort of thing. That or…yeah, that’s it.

Photo-based RPG announced for DSi
Konami has just announced their latest title for the DSi, entitled Foto Showdown. The game is a photo-based RPG where players snap photos and incorporate them into the game. What it does is use advanced color recognition technology to spawn monsters based on the dominant colors in the photos. Players then pit the monsters against opponents in the game in a turn-based fashion. There are 100 levels in the game, and advancing through the levels gets the player more weapons, add-ons, medicine, and so on to use.
“With Foto Showdown, Konami continues to bring innovative games to the market that allows consumers the opportunity to play a more active role in how the game progresses and develops,” said David Daniels, Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “The built-in camera of Nintendo DSi lends itself perfectly to the gameplay, encouraging creative photography, where the photos have lasting effects on the total experience limited only by the users imagination.”
There are up to 152 different monsters you can collect with and play with in the game and with all of the levels. The game is set to release in Q1 of 2010 so be looking for it soon on store shelves.
