EA confirms Mirror’s Edge 2
Mirror’s Edge, a game with an incredible concept around rooftop parkour, was unfortunately a less than stellar game, but perhaps a sequel could fix the things that were wrong the first time around. Patrick Soderlund, Senior VP at EA Games Europe has recently confirmed the series will get its chance at redemption.
When asked for an update on the future of the IP, Soderlund told us: “Mirror’s Edge was a risky move. It was a bold move, a very innovative and inspiring move. The game wasn’t perfect by any means. We would have liked the game to sell better even though the game has sold better than most people think.”
He added: “You will see another Mirror’s Edge for sure. It’s just a matter of when that time is and what we do with it. We have a small team on it and I’m excited about what we do.”
As of now that’s all we know: there is a game in development, but there’s no release schedule on the table.

Mirror’s Edge: The first look of the comic
Back in June, it was confirmed that there was going to be a Mirror’s Edge comic book, and if you were lucky enough (or you read gaming blogs), you would have seen the sneak peek of it.
Multiplayer’s Stephen Totilo got his hands on the first issue, and here’s what he has to say:
The comic, written by the game’s scribe Rhianna Pratchett, and reveals more about the father of main character Faith. As Multiplayer points out, the comic’s artist, Matthew Dow Smith, draws things we were able to do in the game and could not do in the game. Great way to expand the Mirror’s Edge universe.
