It’s a video game system that is both a Dreamcast and a PlayStation (because those are pretty sought-after), and takes the whole infringement thing to the next level, printing both Sonic and Tails on the box of the system as to lure the uninformed dumb-asses in.

Plus, as the box says, it’s clearly “the best video game system”, and will make you “challenge the limits of your imagination”. The only problem is that this probably should have come out 15 years ago, and people would give half a shit.

But then again, that’s only my opinion.

Congratulations to everybody at Sony for the accomplishment.

So you may be wondering how Kojima fits into all of this. Well, to celebrate the anniversary, him and Metal Gear artist Yoji Shinkawa signed white PSPs, and Shinkawa drew a picture of snake on his.

These are pretty sweet PSPs, let me tell you that. Especially if you don’t actually have to pay for them. So how do you go about getting one of these? Just pick up Vol. 460 of Dengeki PlayStation, and try your hand at the contest in there.

Yep, believe it or not. In the December of 1992, Nintendo released it’s monthly magazine, Nintendo Power, to it’s readers with a little surprise inside. Nintendo announced that the Super Nintendo was going to compete with the Sega Genesis!

Nintendo was going to do this by agreeing to a partnership with Sony to create the Super Nintendo CD-Rom system that would boast ” a custom 32-bit processor”. Unbelievable eh? This agreement obviously didn’t last too long. Nintendo and Sony continued working on the Super Nintendo CD, but then dumped the idea because a CD-Rom based system would be impractical due to long load times.

Sony and Nintendo broke up, and Nintendo went on to create the Nintendo 64, which had good sales, but Sony went on to create the PlayStation – a CD based system that sold 300,000 units in just 30 days!

So next time all of you PS3 fanboys start hating on the Nintendo or the Wii, you better look back and had the great idea in the first place, and is overall, the grandfather of the PlayStation 3 that you know and love fight now.
