Collection of The Last Guardian E3 Screenshots

A lot of news has surfaced over the last couple of months about The Last Guardian, otherwise known as Project Trico. The game will be the third game developed by Team ICO, and will take place in the world that ICO did. There are also lots of furry, cute-looking, huge cat things, as well as very sexy official video out. I’m psyched for the game, and this only solidifies how awesome it’s going to be.

New Project TRICO details

Last week, we made a post that contained a breaking video of apparently a new project from Team Ico, that first surfaced at PlayStation Lifestyle. The game would be that of the third game being made in the ICO universe, codenamed TRICO. Well, it looks like another PlayStation-centric site, PS3 center, has found out some more details on the Team ICO’s latest project.

Here are a couple of the details that PS3 center has provided, but click over at the link in the first paragraph to see the full story with the rest of the details.

-The ‘trailer’ was never actually meant to be a trailer of any kind.  It was an internal tech video, meant to show off what other Sony internal studios were working on.  Theatrical aspects, such as the cinematography, aren’t necesarily representative of the title, and that’s also why it has copyrighted music, instead of an original compositon.

-Internet chatter slates the video as being a year old.  While we aren’t clear on the exact age of the video, it’s much closer to 2 years.  It was shown at Sony’s Santa Monica studios in November 2007 as part of the annual GameShare event, where Sony’s internal studios show off their projects to the other branches of the world.  It reached SCEE’s offices in the winter of 2007 as well. It was also shown alongside a playable demo of Heavy Rain, and that demo was NOT the taxadermist demo shown last year, but a different one altogether.

Rumor: Team Ico’s ‘Project Trico’ revealed

Okay, this story has been out there for a couple days, so I decided to post it up here. First off, observe the first word in the story: rumor. Okay, you got it? Good.

It looks like PlayStation lifestyle might have got their hands on some very, very early footage of the latest game in the works from Team Ico. There was no source on the site, and the only hint they had really interesting was: “this is very early footage the next game from Team ICO.” With that being said, we cannot verify that this trailer is 100% legit, and we cannot legitimize the images either.

Okay, know view the trailer. After viewing it, you can see that this has a high possibility of being real, as the person that would have had the time to put this together would have had to have a lot of time, and this seems a little too elaborate for something to be made up by a person without the help of many.

Like some other blogs and websites have said, this seems like a huge E3 announcement, not really that of a blog announcement, but hey, I’m digging it either way.
