Capcom thinks Resident Evil 5 is “possible” on Wii
When resident Evil 5 was first announced Capcom felt that the Wii was completely incapable of reproducing Resident Evil 5, but it seems like they have turned their statement around. Matt Dahlgren, product manager of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles said…
At Resident Evil 5’s launch it was announced that a Wii version was not technically possible. But after some of the work that Cavia has done (with Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles), the producers of Resident Evil 5 over in Japan now think it is possible. Some of the light effects in the South America stage are pretty incredible. Whether it is going to come, I don’t know the answer to that question. But, it has been said that now at least it is possible
So anyone who is stuck with just a Wii may be able to get their hands on Resident Evil 5 one day. It would probably be very similar to the demo we saw of Resident Evil 5 using PlayStation 3’s motion controller. Just cut back the graphics and wala! A Wii version! Hopefully without less zombies as we all saw how wonderful that worked out in Dead Rising: Chop til You Drop.

Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition to come to North America and Europe as downloadable content
While Japan may have to shell out money for a full retail version of Alternative Edition lucky Europeans and North Americans will be able to use their same copy of Resident Evil 5 to play new content. The content is currently scheduled to hit Spring 2010 on both X-box Live and PlayStation Network and will include a new chapter which follows Chris and Jill as they infiltrate the Spencer Estate. If the PlayStation 3 version follows the retail release in Japan it should include motion control support for Sony’s upcoming motion controller for the PS3. If you haven’t seen how it works yet imagine RE4 Wii Edition, but Resident Evil 5.

Don’t sell that copy of Resident Evil 5 yet, more DLC may be on the way

Resident Evil 5 (RE5), which launched earlier this year, was a huge hit selling almost five million units across both PS3 and X-box 360. With the PC release upon us, Capcom has been talking more about RE5 pumping its PC release. In VG247’s podcast Capcom’s Christan Svensson was asked about the possibility of more DLC for the console versions of RE5. Svensson replied that they were looking into it because many fans on the Capcom Unity blog were posting lots of ideas. He also mentioned that their team has been discussing it but said he couldn’t say anymore.
Hopefully you haven’t sold your copy or else you may not be missing out on some potentially great DLC. The PC version of the game is set to release September 14th in North America and September 18th in Europe.

Anywho, capcom has just announced the release date of Resident Evil 5 on the PC whic happens to be September 15th in the US, and the 18th in Europe. People who buy the game and have a kick-ass computer with an equally bad-ass video card can experience the game with the new GeForce 3D technology by Nvidia.
Yeah, 3D wasn’t bad enough in the 90’s, why not experience it right now! Go out, and pick up the game…and…enjoy it?
