Don’t worry, Final Fantasy XI isn’t biting the dust…. yet
As if 6 years wasn’t long enough already, we’re getting more news via tweets that your guys’ precious Final Fantasy XI Online won’t be leaving soon. The tweet was made by Square Enix’s honcho Yoichi Wada (like his avatar?).
“There seems to be a rumor that FFXI is ending, but if that was done, we’d be in trouble.”
There’s still tons of people playing the game…I don’t know why, but they just are. So I guess everybody playing this has a while to keep hacking their way through the brand new online world that is FFXI.

Nothing but Final Fantasy spin-offs hitting the Wii
In a recent interview with Motomu Toriyama, director for the latest Final Fantasy games has revealed some interesting information that leaves little hope as to whether there would be an actual Final Fantasy installment on the Wii. I don’t think it’s happening.
“In terms of Final Fantasy in general, the teams are really aiming for movie quality graphics and really dramatic storylines. For now, at least, consoles like the Xbox 360 and PS3 are the best place for this kind of cinematic experience to take place. We don’t feel that it needs to transition necessarily to a handheld platform.” - Motomu Toriyama, director
Seriously though, I like the high-def Final Fantasy games, don’t get me wrong. It’s just that I would really like to see some classic work done with the series. I could dig some 2D, sprites, or maybe a different art style (maybe less androgynous characters?). But why would that ever happen?

Urban Dragon Quest Slime Graffiti is quiet hip and urban
Gaming graffiti is quiet possibly the best type of graffiti out there. I mean, a lot of people will understand what it actually is, and others will say “man, he must have been on one hell of an acid trip”. Yeah, we were.
Well graffiti artist GameBoyOne‘s pixel art has hit the streets yet again with the oh-so-popular slime from the Dragon Quest Series. A masterpiece I tell you.

First Final Fantasy XIII Commercial; PS3 sitting in the corner crying after this one
Final Fantasy XIII got it’s first commercial in the states during the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. Other than noticing that Kansas beat Iowa State, Kentucky beating Tennessee, Villanova smashing Providence, and Purdue beating Iowa, the commercial only mentioned the Xbox 360 and the special edition 360 being sold with the game. No PS3…or PC.
Wait.
Yeah, but we’re hypothesizing that the PS3 version is just THAT awesome that it doesn’t need a commercial, or even to be mentioned in a commercial. Yeah, that’s what it is.
