And with that, we get a response from Microsoft about the “Corrupt” Xbox Live moderator video

Cartman Cop silly police officer stupid wacky And with that, we get a response from Microsoft about the “Corrupt” Xbox Live moderator videoNot too long after the video of the “corrupt” moderator on Xbox Live surfaced has Microsoft already has given us a response about the moderator and it’s pretty much what we expected.

Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox LIVE, Steven Toulouse was the one to respond to the video, and it looks like The Pro was provoked into saying what he said, and that the video was edited to put him in a bad light.

“Yes I’ve seen the heavily edited video of The Pro. He was policing 10th prestige MW2 modding which results in gold account and console ban. I did enjoy the the explanation about the audio being totally off/1 sided cause his “capture card went crazy” when its clear it was edited.”

He then ended his statement with the lovely comment:

“Case closed, thanks for bringing it to my attention!”

So it looks like it wasn’t a big deal after all. Just editing a video when The Pro was watching for hackers on Modern Warfare 2. The only thing is that in Microsoft’s terms of use for Xbox Live, it states that:

5. How You May Not Use the Service.

Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten, or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others;

Code of Conduct

You do not do any of the following while connected to the service:

Don’t scream, yell, threaten, or stalk other players, or encourage other players to do so.

Wouldn’t that constitute The Pro being out of line and being up for ban? Even though he was doing his job, he was still yelling and the comments that he made could have been taken offensively.

What do you guys think?

Xbox Live Moderator “The Pro” needs to get knocked the f**k out

It looks like Microsoft has made the mistake of hiring a moderator for Xbox Live that is a total dick. The guy goes by the gamertag of “The Pro”, and as shown from the video above, made several threats to the users threatening to ban their accounts on every single console they’ve ever been on, and muting players in the game.

The guy that uploaded the video said that it’s real, no doubt about it, and I’m going to have to believe him on this one. We don’t know what provoked him before as the video has been edited, so if they were just pissing him off and he went on a rampage, we don’t know.

All I know is that this guy, if this is indeed him and how he acts, needs to get knocked the fuck out immediately.

No more video content for you on Xbox Live

xbox live video No more video content for you on Xbox Live

No not really. Microsoft just sent us an email this morning (or last I don’t know which), to tell us that due to making improvements on the Zune Marketplace on Xbox Live, there will be some maintenance going on for 24 hours starting 10:00 P.M. (PT) on January 25, 2010. Nothing big though, just won’t be able to rent or purchase any video content. You can still use you’re existing library though.

Okay, I’m sorry I had to break that tough news to all of you guys. Are you all okay?

56053gears of war screenshot 6 590x331 Pick up the original Gears of War on Games on DemandThere are lots of new and old games on the Games on Demand service for the Xbox 360, well it looks like if you want to kick some locust ass and here some cheesy punch lines (nevermind that’s the second game), and lots of blood and gore? Well you can now pick up the original Gears of War. It’s a 6GB download and costs $20 so if you get the itch to replay the game and you want to spend a couple hours downloading it, head over to your Xbox and do that now!

Now Whored-Out music games get their OWN Xbox Live music stores!

158541 RB StoreSlot 620x 605x340 Now Whored Out music games get their OWN Xbox Live music stores!Okay, Lips isn’t a whored-out music game, by those I was meaning Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Just clearing that up.

Okay, so it looks like Microsoft has just announced that individual stores for Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and Lips are now available to download on Xbox Live. No real need for explaining here, all they do is just allow for a central place to download everything that’s come out for all of the games.

Definitely a good addition for those who like music games, but seeing as how my financial situation isn’t in the best, I had to stop all that shit at Guitar Hero 2. It was fun while it lasted though (plus the carpel tunnel will last forever!).
